The Boden family established Handlebars Restaurant & Saloon in 1989. Since that time, Handlebars has developed a reputation for its exceptional food, fun, friendly atmosphere, and unique western decor. It’s one-of-a-kind, and a favorite rendezvous spot for locals and visitors…and the occasional celebrity.
The location is ideal —nestled in the old mining town of Silverton, famous for its mining history, bordellos, gamblers, and gunslingers. Handlebars and Silverton are a must-see.

The atmosphere in Handlebars is a step back in time to the old boom-town days, when roulette wheels shirred, bordello girls beckoned, and gold dust littered the bar as miners paid for their drinks with ‘a pinch of powder.’
C’mon up 5o Silverton and savor the flavor of our wild western atmosphere while enjoying some of the best grub around.
Be sure to stop by our Mercantile. Visit with Alyce and and pick up a bottle of our famous BBQ sauce or Cream of Green Chili soup mix. Take home a souvenir mustache tank top, tee shirt, or cap.
